    As an owner of a web design agency, I have done tourism-related web sites in the past for local area businesses. I picked up this book because I am a regular listener to the author’s podcast “Web Agency Podcast”, and wanted more insight into his business and niche, since there is also something that can be gleaned from other person’s perspective.

    I have to say that this book really surprised me. It was packed with a lot of good marketing content — some of which I had never considered. For example, everybody knows how valuable review sites like TripAdvisor and Yelp are for local tourism-based businesses, but there are many nuances of each that are spelled out in the chapters of this book. I had underestimated how many things need to be considered for a tourism-based business.

    Overall, it is an excellent book to read (even if you’re not a tour operator). It surprised me that it took a lot longer to read it than I expected, but that was due in large part because the book was chocked-full of great marketing insight, info and tips. There wasn’t any fluff, this was a great textbook to have and I ended up taking a lot of notes.

    I don’t believe there is another book out there like this one. It’s very insightful with lots of great ideas on h ow to grow your business–things I never would have thought of. Thank you for a great book that will be a huge help to me and my ghost tours. I wrote a book that seems to be a one of a kind as well–How To Create a Winning Ghost Tour. I hope you will take a look. It was written from experience, as you have done. There is nothing better than experience to write a successful and very helpful book. Thank you!

    I have recently started a travel agency without much experience in the industry. Surprisingly, I found it quite difficult to find a book that could help me market my tours online.

    In a very concise manner this book takes you through all the most important things you need to have in place in order to sell trips/tours online. I have experience with Adwords, SEO, conversion optimization etc. prior to starting my travel company, but still the book managed to give me many points I haven’t thought about because it shows you strategies that are proven to work within the travel industry.

    If you want to improve your skills selling tours online I would highly recommend this book!
