Itinerary

Day 1
New York– Philadelphia– Washington D.C. (234 miles).

Leaving New York in the morning and driving two hours in the beautiful Garden State, we are arriving in Philadelphia– the birthplace of this nation. From the first penny to the First Amendment, Philadelphia led the nation. We will bring you directly to the newly overhauled Independence National Historical Park on 45 acres of Center City landscape. The center of the park is the Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell. By early afternoon, we are arriving at the country's capital.

Let's start the most ever popular Air and Space Museum on the Mall, another popular choice is the National Museum of Natural History. Perhaps one of the most unforgettable business in Washington is politics. The U. S. Capitol, by law the tallest building in our capital, is home to the U.S. Congress and has north (Senate) and south (House) wings. The neo-classical sandstone White House is home and office for every President of the United States. Our tour continues to visit the memorial for one of the top U. S. Presidents in history: the Jefferson Memorial.

Philadelphia, PA

. Independence Hall: One of the most important historical landmarks in the United States. The Declaration of Independence was signed in this building on July 4, 1776.

Liberty Bell: Casted in England to "proclaim liberty throughout the land" as the Declaration of Independence was read aloud to the citizens, is housed in a new 13,000-square-foot glass pavilion angled so you can see it against the backdrop of Independence Hall.

Washington, DC.

National Air and Space Museum: The museum chronicles the story of the mastery of flight, from Wright Brothers'1903 Flyer to outer space. It holds the largest collection of historic items in the world and hundreds of space and aircraft artifacts dangle before your eyes everywhere you look.

National Museum of Natural History: Housing various habitat and fossil collections. Ever a big draw is its Hall of Gems and Minerals, which showcases the Hope Diamond, a 45.52-carat fancy deep-blue diamond with interesting stories.

White House: Sits at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, the White House is the official residence and principal workplace of the President of the United States. It has been the residence of every U.S. president since John Adams.

US Capitol: It has housed the Senate and House of Representatives for almost two centuries. The Washington DC capitol building is located at the eastern end of the National Mall on a plateau 88 feet above the Potomac River, with an imposing view encompassing the Capitol.

Jefferson Memorial: Dedicated to our third President, Thomas Jefferson, who is known for his contributions to the Declaration of Independence. The interior has a 19 foot bronze statue of Jefferson along with passages from his writings engraved on the walls.

Standard Hotel: Days Inn or Best Similar or western class (in Maryland or VA).

It consists of a circular "Pool of Remembrance" in a grove of trees and a triangular "Field of Service," highlighted by lifelike statues of 19 soldiers.
